With the minimum training hours required of 160 hours, the main requirement for EMT-basic course is the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training. EMT-Intermediate:

EMT Paramedic:
This course gives the highest level of knowledge and skills to the EMT trainees. The accredited hours of training for this course is of 1000-1200 hours in which they learn in different environments which include didactic instruction, skills laboratory, clinical education and field internship. The requirements for this course EMT paramedic in an EMT school are the certificate of EMT Basic course and study of Anatomy and Physiology. The study of Anatomy and Physiology can be read before the course or during the course. As being the highest degree in the field of Emergency Medical Services, this course takes longest training hours and highest program cost among the EMT courses that are available in EMT school.
